Transmission

Event and exhibition instigated and produced by Mercedes- Benz and curated by Raf Simons. De Potter was asked to formulate thoughts on contemporary avantgarde and be part of a selection of artists to present work within the building of the Berlin Congress Centre on Alexanderplatz. Peter took over all 32 windows of the first floor, covering them with 3 metres-high reproductions from his I Am an Image Machine series. These works could be seen both from the outside of the building, while the huge images turned the inside of the space into a forum-like gallery.

The other artists invited were: graphic designer Peter Saville, artist Germaine Kruip, choreographer Michael Clark, British band These New Puritans, US band Fischerspooner, Belgian band Goose and the industrial designer Konstantin Grcic.
