SNOWDON, A LIFE IN VIEW

Creative Director Published by Rizzoli 2014

An outstanding retrospective of Snowdon’s long and distinguished career, A Life in View features a never before seen collection of projects created by Snowdon – from early photographic experiments in London, to portraits and fashion commissions for Vogue, his seminal documentation of British artists in the 1960s, as well as his work as a designer, architect and innovator.

Each featured project is accompanied by a text written by key authors and personalities including Graydon Carter, Philippe Garner, A.A. Gill, Alexandra Schulman, Paolo Roversi, Tom Ford, Robin Muir, and Snowdon himself. The book was initiated and orchestrated by Snowdon’s daughter, Frances von Hofmannsthal, who is also the author of the book’s introduction. The book launched with a Snowdon exhibition at The National Portrait Gallery.
