On Yamamoto
On Yamamoto is a printmaker who inherited the Japanese traditional culture of wood block printing, known as “Ukiyo-e”, an art that flourished from the 17th through 19th centuries. It produces handmade prints with elegant, subtle colors, with a special warmth and freshness. Yamamoto’s influences include nature, good design and architecture, old things, heartwarming stories and kind people in everyday life. Her goal is to draw wonderful views all over the world – its cities, buildings, flowers, trees, the sky, people, houses, shops, cars, and food – because the world is full of beautiful scenery and people.
