Nick Vogelson is a creative director and editorial consultant based in New York.

This unique range of talents led Vogelson to launch Document Journal in 2012, where he began working with the world’s most iconic artists, photographers, stylists, and writers, including Richard Prince, Craig McDean, Willy Vanderperre, Hedi Slimane, Mario Sorrenti, Inez & Vinoodh, Mert & Marcus, Olivier Rizzo, Joe McKenna, Sarah Richardson, and Grace Coddington, to create some of the most iconic and visually arresting imagery in publishing.
As editor-in-chief and creative director, he continues building the highly acclaimed journal-across all platforms including print, video, digital, and social-into what it is known for today.
Vogelson is also the author and editor of numerous cultural books including artists monographs with David Armstrong, Ron Galella, Bjarne Melgaard, Nan Goldin, Maripol, and Larry Clark.
His creative direction practice and studio, Document New York, includes branding and identity development, graphic design, art direction for advertising, packaging, book, web, and social media design, as well as curation and live events.
His singular vision for weaving culture with strategy and storytelling across scalable platforms makes his creative direction and vision unique in the industry.
